Autonomy Maintenance Is Where BVLOS UAS Reliability Becomes Real
Autonomous UAS programs do not become reliable at scale through flight demos alone. They become reliable when maintenance, software baselines, telemetry, and operational evidence stay connected.
Runtime Assurance Is How BVLOS Autonomy Earns Operational Trust
Advanced autonomy does not become trustworthy because the algorithm is impressive. It becomes trustworthy when the program can prove how unsafe behavior is detected, bounded, and recovered in real operations.
Remote Pilot Workload Is the BVLOS Metric Autonomous UAS Programs Cannot Ignore
BVLOS autonomy programs cannot scale safely by assuming remote pilots will absorb every edge case. Remote pilot workload needs to become a measurable engineering constraint tied to alert design, autonomy modes, contingency timing, and operational…
